About us
Kity. Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a UK-based company providing tools that help groups of people better manage and share visibility of money within a chosen group, utilising Open Banking services.
We do not handle money, initiate payments, or provide financial advice. Our service is strictly limited to retrieving and displaying transactional data from connected bank accounts for members within a group.
We use Fena Labs Ltd (FCA Firm Reference Number 934835, Company Registration Number 12358683) as our authorised Open Banking partner. Fena is regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Payment Services Regulations (PSD2) and is required to comply with UK and EU data protection laws.
Fena securely connects to your bank on our behalf and shares only the transaction data required for our service — nothing more.

Eligibility
You must be:
At least 18 years old, and
Resident in the United Kingdom.
By using Kity, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
Services we provide
KityApp allows you to:
Connect your bank account via Fena (Open Banking) – only for users who create a group.
View and share your transactional data within a private group you create.
Use budgeting and group-related features within the app.
We can never hold, move, or initiate payments on your behalf.
Access to your bank data
When you connect your bank account:
You authorise Fena to retrieve limited transaction data and share it securely with Kity.
We do not store or have access to your login credentials.
Your consent lasts for 90 days, after which you may reauthorise the connection.
We cannot and do not:
Initiate transactions or move money.
Alter or modify your account in any way.
Your responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate information when registering.
Use Kity only for lawful and personal purposes.
Not copy, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the app’s functionality or security.
Keep your device and login credentials secure.
Security
We use bank-grade encryption and follow strong security practices:
Data encrypted in transit (TLS 256-bit) and at rest (AES).
Our service is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) within the UK/EU, providing industry-leading data protection and compliance.
We maintain strict internal access controls, monitoring, and audit procedures, and continually review and enhance our security practices to keep your information safe.
Intellectual property
All rights in the Kity app, brand, and software belong to Kity Ltd or its licensors.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal purposes only.
Termination
You may stop using Kity at any time by disconnecting your bank account and uninstalling the app.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or if required for legal, regulatory, or security reasons.
Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that have already arisen.
Liability
Kity is provided “as is” and “as available”.
We make no warranty that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
We are not liable for:
Losses arising from reliance on app data.
Technical failures outside our control.
This does not exclude liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything that cannot be excluded by law.
No money is ever held by Kity and have no responsibility. We only retrieve transactions from the bank account you have decided to link within our app. The group balance shown is a simple calculation showing the total of any incoming and outgoing transactions that have been shared.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via the app or email.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
